NEW YORK CITY, NY, UNITED STATES, October 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — RestaurantAward.com has launched a new way to recognize outstanding restaurants across the United States: by listening to the people who eat there. The platform brings public ratings and guest feedback together into weekly rankings, helping diners discover restaurants and understand what makes them stand out.
For restaurant owners, it creates an opportunity to earn recognition for the experiences their teams deliver every day. For diners, it offers a way to find places that suit the meal, the occasion and the people around the table.
“Every day, guests describe what makes a restaurant special: the server who remembers their name, the pasta made by hand, the table they book for every anniversary,” said a spokesperson for RestaurantAward.com. “Our job is to listen to those voices and turn them into recognition that is fair, specific and earned.”
Behind the rankings
• More than 1.4 million U.S. restaurants tracked
• More than 1 billion guest voices analyzed
• More than 600 million sentiment records
• 29 AI signals drawn from what guests say
• More than a decade of public source history
Recognition in practice
Published October 2026 award records illustrate the range of restaurant experiences recognized:
• La Strega Bistro in DeBary, Florida, earned Gold in the city’s Italian restaurant category. Its October 2026 Gold Praise Awards include Top Service, Friendliest Staff and Top Romantic Dining in DeBary.
• Anaheim White House in Anaheim, California, earned Gold in the city’s Italian restaurant category. Its current Gold Praise Awards include Top Romantic Dining and Top Business Dining in Anaheim.
• Chinn Chinn in Mattawan, Michigan, earned Gold in the city’s Restaurants category. Its current Gold Praise Awards include Top Vegetarian-Friendly Dining, Top Vegan-Friendly Dining and Top Gluten-Free Options in Mattawan.
All three have historical ranking and Praise Awards on record, illustrating recognition across multiple releases.
How restaurants earn recognition
Restaurants are compared within defined categories and locations. A family-run taqueria competes with other taquerias in its market, giving its achievement a clear and relevant meaning.
Each weekly release awards Gold, Silver and Bronze to the three leading eligible restaurants in each published ranking. Every award identifies its category, location and award month. A restaurant can hold distinctions at city, state and national level, and past wins remain on record.
The Restaurant Award Score combines eight weighted factors into a score from zero to 100. These include rating quality, guest sentiment, feedback momentum, social engagement, profile completeness and operational signals. The methodology and weights are public at https://restaurantaward.com/methodology.
The volume-confidence component stops adding credit after 1,000 guest voices. Beyond that threshold, a larger audience earns no additional advantage from that component. Missing evidence remains neutral.
Restaurants cannot purchase a ranking position or an award.
Praise Awards: the reasons guests fall in love.
An overall score offers a starting point. It does not explain whether guests return for the warm welcome, the generous portions or the atmosphere that makes an evening feel special.
RestaurantAward.com uses AI to identify recurring patterns in guest feedback across 29 signals. The Restaurant Praise Awards section helps diners explore restaurants associated with friendly staff, freshness, value and memorable dining experiences.
Visitors can discover places for a date night, a family dinner, a business lunch or a leisurely brunch. Dietary-related rankings highlight guest feedback about options such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dining. These signals describe guest experiences and do not represent certifications.
For restaurant teams, these distinctions bring attention to the details of hospitality their guests notice and remember. Published profiles show which awards a restaurant has received; a leaderboard position is separate from an issued award.
Restaurants on the rise receive their own spotlight through a monthly Trending section, highlighting the largest score increases by state and cuisine.
What it means for restaurant owners
Claiming a restaurant is free. After ownership verification, owners can correct eligible profile information and access a dashboard showing where their restaurant stands and which actions deserve attention.
An optional annual Premium subscription adds profile tools and deeper insights, including competitor comparisons, sentiment analysis and feedback momentum. Premium does not affect a restaurant’s score, rank or awards.
Rankings, Praise Awards and the full methodology are available at RestaurantAward.com.
Restaurant owners can claim their venue for free in three steps:
1. Visit Restaurant Search and find their restaurant.
2. Open their restaurant’s public profile.
3. Click “Claim This Restaurant For Free” and complete ownership verification.
