NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Jewish Communal Fund (JCF), the nation’s leading Jewish donor advised fund, released its 2026 Impact Report, documenting a record year of philanthropy in which Fundholders distributed more than $1.3 billion through 106,271 grants to 12,260 charitable organizations worldwide.
During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, JCF Fundholders recommended grants averaging more than $3.5 million every day, supporting causes across education, healthcare, human services, Jewish life, Israel, the environment, and the arts.
The record level of giving comes at a time when many nonprofits are facing increased demand for services and growing financial pressures. JCF Fundholders collectively distributed 36% of charitable assets to operating charities during fiscal year 2026, a payout rate that significantly exceeds industry averages.
The report also highlights a decade of sustained growth in charitable giving. Since 2016, annual grantmaking through JCF has more than tripled, increasing from $380 million to more than $1.3 billion, while the number of grants has grown 132%, from 45,845 to 106,271.
“For more than five decades, JCF Fundholders have demonstrated the power of philanthropy to respond to urgent needs, strengthen institutions, and invest in future generations,” said Rachel Schnoll, CEO of Jewish Communal Fund. “This year’s record grantmaking reflects a community that remains deeply committed to making a difference. We are honored to help turn that commitment into impact.”
Daniel Blaser, President of JCF agrees. “At a time when many charitable organizations are facing growing needs and increased uncertainty, JCF Fundholders continue to lead with generosity. This record year of giving reflects their commitment to strengthening communities and the power of philanthropy to create meaningful, lasting impact.”
JCF’s 5,421 funds are held by more than 7,500 Fundholders, who collectively support thousands of charitable organizations across a broad range of causes.
